Morf3D is a metal additive manufacturing (AM) supplier for the aerospace industry, focused on the manufacture and certification of production flight hardware to customer requirements. Our objective is to support industry growth through the adoption of AM technology into the design lifecycle by providing development and application of AM design and material technologies.

**Position Overview**

The Precision Cleaning Technician supports the de-powdering and cleaning processes of additively manufactured hardware. Utilizing machinery such as the Solukon, Ultrasonic Bath, and other new technologies, the Precision Cleaning Technician works to remove powder from complex hardware and will perform precision wet cleaning operations.

This role plays a critical part in the Additive Manufacturing Process and requires diligence, patience, and strong hands-on capabilities. Because this is a highly collaborative environment, we encourage applicants who are friendly, creative, and solution-oriented. This role reports to the Lead Cleaning Technician and the Senior Production Manager.

**Responsibilities**

* Responsible for the on-time de-powdering and cleaning of AM parts, which meet and even exceed quality, safety, and industry requirements

* Responsible for maintaining documentation related to part progress, non-conformances, inspections, schedule, and process improvements

* Responsible for adhering to PPE requirements in the Cleaning Room and throughout the building

**Job Duties**

* Load programs and operate the Solukon, Ultrasonic Bath, oven, jogger table, and any other technologies required for the cleaning process

* Collaborate with engineers, technicians, quality engineers and inspectors, manufacturing technicians, and other technical and customer related services as needed to develop cleaning solutions or resolve issues with new or current products

* Develop, document, and maintain internal cleaning and de-powdering know-how, methodology, and processes

**Skills**

* Careful planning, scheduling, and strong general organization to maximize efficiency and productivity

* General knowledge and skill in using various pneumatic and hand tools

* *Preferred*: Knowledge of machines and tools used in cleaning operations, including the mechanisms, use, and maintenance of the Solukon, Ultrasonic Bath, jogger table, oven, and any other equipment required for the cleaning process

* *Preferred:* Knowledge of the practical application of additive and de-powdering science and technology, including the application of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the cleaning of AM hardware

**Education / General Requirements**

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Ability to work flexible shifts and occasional overtime

* *Preferred: 2*+ years of experience with post-processing, preferably precision cleaning

* *Required*: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations applicants must be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder) per ITAR regulations defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

**Work Environment and Safety Requirements**

* Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day, including gloves, hearing protection, eye protection, protective footwear, and respirators

* Ability to learn technical material relating to additive manufacturing and additive machine maintenance

* Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to three hours

* Ability to operate, prepare, inspect, twist, place, and position parts, tooling, and machinery

* Ability to operate digital applications on an interface, such as a tablet or smartphone

* Ability to position self to adjust shelving, reach stacked powder canisters, and store tooling (stop, kneel, couch, or crawl)

* Ability to communicate with teammates and internal stakeholders with daily updates, hazard concerns, questions, and issues

* Ability to visually detect non-conformances, inspect additively manufactured parts and AM machinery, assess the manufacturing process for flaws and failed builds, estimate powder quantities while filling machines and canisters, and adjust machines through digital interfaces

* Ability to push carts, RUWAC vacuums, and other machinery through the facility regularly
