About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in the seamless operation of their network of schools. The COO will be responsible for a range of administrative and operational functions, including student recruitment and enrollment, facilities management, school operations, meals, transportation, procurement, and safety. This newly created leadership position demands an outstanding leader with a proven track record of achieving operational excellence with a strong focus on equity. The successful candidate will be a warm and demanding coach, a big-picture thinker, and an equity champion, dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that all students have access to a high-quality education.Applicants for the COO role at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree and have at least 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years in an operational leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will have broad operational expertise and specific experience in at least two of the functional areas within the COO portfolio. Key skills and characteristics include the ability to set and achieve ambitious goals, excellent communication, and influencing skills, and a strategic, analytical approach to problem-solving. The COO will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to set a clear vision of excellence for each operational function and ensure that the organization's technology, infrastructure, and facilities meet the needs of its students and staff.
