Bay Medical Management, LLC (BMMLLC) is a medical services organization (MSO) headquartered in Walnut Creek. The organization provides administrative and management services to Bay Imaging Consultants Medical Group (BIC) the premier radiology group in Northern California.
Summary
Performs financial analysis for physician group and the management company by collecting, monitoring, studying, and reporting data. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Must be a team player with ability to gather, synthesize and report information from various sources. Must be an agile, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Minimum of five years of experience in similar role.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling is required.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Performs financial analysis upon identification of variances and prepares summary of key findings to “tell the story” behind the numbers.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Highly self-motivated, ability to accept accountability for assigned tasks.
Support partnership operations with data analysis of their operational/financial performance by preparing and evaluating financial trend and data analysis reports. Assimilate knowledge into projections.
Drive financial planning process, lead financial reviews with department Directors to develop annual plans and subsequent forecast updates for multiple entities.
Strong planning and organizing skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage workload to meet deadlines including financial reporting packages.
Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software is required. Extract, analyze and report data from different systems.
Special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in accounting or related field from four-year college or university
Five or more years related experience including financial analysis, budgeting, reporting and database development, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Medical group experience preferred.
Other Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, contracts, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, vendors, and business partners.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Understanding of health care pricing, reimbursement, and financing preferred.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and computerized accounting systems.
Knowledge of Adaptive (Workday) budgeting system is preferred.
Knowledge of Access 2003 is helpful, but not required.
