CDL A Driver

The Role

Silverwood Landscape Construction is based in Southern California. We're looking for a Class A Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for driving a 10-wheeler roll-off truck. In addition to driving, the Class A Driver will load and unload material and equipment and help the on-site crew with various tasks as needed.

We're looking for someone honest, confident, and enthusiastic. The role requires reliability, attention to safety, and the ability to navigate local routes and job sites efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roll-off boxes.
• Assist the project crews with tasks as needed when making deliveries/pickups.
• Perform DOT daily operations and safety inspections before and after each trip.
• Perform routine daily maintenance, including refueling, lubrication, cooling system checks, and housekeeping.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and Hours of Service regulations.
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and trip records.
• Communicate load status with the team.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.

Basic Qualifications

• Class A driver's license.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Full-time availability MondayFriday, with occasional Saturdays.
• Compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policy, remaining drug- and alcohol-free at all times.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating a roll-off truck is preferred.
• Comply with and complete our pre-employment screening that includes an MVR review and drug screen.
• Comply with and adhere to DOT safety standards, including drug screens when required.

• For this role, the hourly rate of pay is $25-$30. This role is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime when available.
