Lone Star is seeking an intermediate level project engineer with 4-7 years of experience. This Project Engineer is in charge of leading projects through the production shop. They collaborate with different disciplines within the engineering group to ensure that product packages work together seamlessly. They provide technical expertise on all equipment and products, create bills of materials, specifications, procedures, and support the applications and sales departments. They work together with Project Management to ensure projects are complete, correct, follow Lone Star standards, and meet the customer's requirements and deadlines. The Project Engineer is organized, able to think through and solve technical issues methodically, but at the same time is able to come up with creative solutions to problems. The Project Engineer takes ownership of their projects and work and is a specialist in at least one product line.

Skills and competencies:

Manages time and is well organized

Proficient in Solidworks and creating detailed drawings, understands GD&T

Able to communicate clearly

Ability to use simple hand tools and measurement tools

Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and layouts

Create technical procedures, reports, specifications, and Bills of Material

Good mechanical aptitude with some electrical knowledge

Doesn't mind working in a shop setting and getting their hands dirty

Ability to multitask and lead several projects at once

Has a good attitude

QUALIFICATIONS

- We are seeking all levels of project engineering experienced individuals

Pay Range

Entry Level, 2-6 years $70k -$85k

Intermediate, 5-9 years $80k - $95k

Experienced, 8+ years $90k+

- Technical knowledge regarding the following:

Mechanical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering Technology Degree or direct relevant Project Engineering experience

Product Data Management and Revision Control

Solidworks and AutoCAD

4+ years of CAD Experience, 3D modeling, 2D drafting

Microsoft Office Suite- Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, One Drive, Business Central, ShareDrive

PDF Editor Software

Experience leading Root Cause Analysis and creating Non-conformance reports

- High Level of mechanical aptitude and a general understanding of electrical knowledge

- Ability to understand technical drawings and written specifications

- Must be an effective planner and organizer capable of making quick decisions when necessary

- Must have good oral and written communication skills

- Working knowledge of Microsoft systems and software

- Compressor or Blower experience or other engineered to order products experience is preferred

- Familiarity with complex machinery with control systems or rotating equipment is preferred

The following expertise is preferred:

· Product engineering a plus

· Experience working in a production shop is a plus
