About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP for Ceded Reinsurance with a focus on new business. This role is pivotal in identifying, structuring, and executing reinsurance opportunities within the company, as well as managing the in-force reinsured portfolio and nurturing relationships with all reinsurers. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing the company's interests with major stakeholders, both internally and externally, and must be adept at overseeing reinsurance programs for current and prospective business blocks. This includes ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements, as well as maintaining the principles of sound corporate governance.Applicants should have at least 7 years of related experience, with deep subject matter expertise in life insurance products and preferably in retirement products. Significant experience in reinsurance structuring and transactions is essential, as is a proven track record in developing and executing multi-year roadmaps. The role requires a clear and accessible communicator, influencer, and facilitator, with a strong knowledge of the relevant reinsurer marketplace. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree and/or insurance designations such as ASA/FSA, CERA, CPCU, or ARM being preferred. The ideal candidate will also have a strong network of market relationships to facilitate reinsurance placement and issue resolution.
