Thriving Commercial Construction Company Seeks Experienced Construction Site Superintendent
About Us:
We are a busy and fast growing construction company focused on providing top quality buildings to the New York and New Jersey area. We mainly take on public projects such as schools, municipal, county and state owned buildings. Project sizes are typically between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
About The Position:
Responsibilities:
Overall project scheduling
Buy-Outs and price/scope negotiation with subcontractors
Buy-Outs and price/scope negotiation with material suppliers
Submittals approval and distribution
Subcontractors coordination
Material ordering
Making sure subcontractors supply and install approved material and equipment per plans, specs and manufacturers recommendation
Making sure suppliers provide approved material
Plan, guide and monitor work performed by in-house employees
Work closely with in-house site foreman
Oversee Site Safety and OSHA requirements
Coordinate work with the project manager
Bi-Weekly Meetings with PM/Architect/Owner/Engineers
Contracts/POs
Daily Reports
RFIs
Change Orders
Closeouts
Who are we looking for?
Our Ideal Construction Site Superintendent is experienced, diligent, budget conscious, and safety conscious as well. It's highly recommended to have experience working with a General Contractor on large public projects such as schools, municipal, county and, state owned buildings as this makes up the majority of our clientele. This position is best fit for a candidate that has experience serving as the only Site Superintendent on construction projects.
Experience with Ground Up Construction is required for this role. OSHA 30 Certification is required.

Have a diplomatic approach to issues when dealing with PM/Architect/Owner
Ability to work well under pressure.
Qualifications:
5-7 Years experience in construction site supervision (REQUIRED)
Associates or Bachelor's Degree, preferably in construction technology, engineering or project management
OSHA 30 Certified
Additional construction related certifications are a plus
Experience working with large public and municipal projects
Professional demeanor
Excellent Communication Skills
Punctuality is a MUST
Compensation:
$100,000 - $125,000 Depending on Experience
This position is FULL TIME.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am - 4:00pm
