"As the demand for MWC Las Vegas steadily rises from both attendees and sponsors, GSMA is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join an experienced team and assist in managing this demand. This person will be responsible for the account management for existing business, prospecting for new business, and assisting in the preparation for MWC Barcelona 2025. The successful candidate will be self-sufficient, a quick learner, and able to seamlessly embed themselves into an experienced, global sales team.

Additionally, a successful candidate will be able to articulate the value of participating in MWC events on a domestic and international scale. As client interest grows, the team requires dedicated resources to cultivate and maintain these crucial partnerships to ensure that we deliver value and service to our clients.

By joining the MWC Las Vegas team now, MWC Las Vegas can strategically navigate this period of expansion, ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders receive the attention and support necessary for a successful event experience.

This role will be key to the success of the event and will have an immediate impact to the business. A proven track record of meeting sales goals and showcasing exceptional account management skills is integral to this role so that we can continue to grow our team, our initiatives and our mission.

About the Team

The MWC Las Vegas Sales team is supported by a global team that resides in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, & Atlanta. This team is responsible for delivering revenue to support the the American series of MWC, the most influential event for the global connectivity ecosystem.

About the Role

The MWC Las Vegas team is currently seeking a contractor to play a pivotal role in growing revenues and managing demand as the event grows within the Americas region. The primary responsibilities of this position include driving exhibition, sponsorship, and advertising sales through various channels.

This involves sourcing leads not only from existing GSMA exhibitors and members but also through proactive outreach via social media, LinkedIn, news publications, and competitive events. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and nurturing business relationships with both current and potential clientele, ensuring the event meets their requirements and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.

The role also entails conducting client calls, prospecting through phone sales, and organising face-to-face meetings when appropriate. International travel is required for this roleOverall, this position offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the continued success and growth of MWC Las Vegas through strategic sales and account management initiatives.

About You

Proven track record of sales & account management experience

Proven success in managing the full sales cycle from planning to closing deals

Proven ability to offer a first-class, professional sales and account management service to commercial partners and to build strong business relationships at all levels

Proven organisational skills

Proven ability to offer a first-class, professional sales and account management service to commercial partners and to build strong business relationships at all levels

Proactive approach to identifying opportunities, generating leads and producing sales presentations

Familiar with Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator also an advantage

Excellent phone manner & written skills
