The Role :

Entegris is looking for a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer in our Colorado Springs facility. This position is key to the continued progression of our global MES strategy, which is starting with a pilot program in Colorado Springs.

As an MES Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, maintenance, and support of a common library of objects and recipes that are utilized by manufacturing plants worldwide and the continued evolution of tools and capabilities for improved end-user experience.

Your primary responsibility will be for the controls engineering project requirements involving PLC/SCADA/HMI programming, instrumentation, integration, check-out support, and start-up assistance.

You will also work with management, engineering, manufacturing, vendors, and IT resources from ERP/LIMS/CMMS and other systems to deliver the initial installation and future enhancements to the MES platform. You will have an opportunity to work with a variety of technologies such as C#/VB.NET, VBScript, SQL Server, ASP.NET, OPC, HMI, barcode scanners, and RFID.

In this role you will :

Responsible for providing manufacturing execution systems (MES) operational support, documentation, administration, deployment, and maintenance for development, test and production environments

Work with site functional teams including manufacturing, IT, engineering, and quality to gather user requirements for changes and enhancements

Convert user requirements into process and system requirements and build solutions to these specifications

Support development and troubleshooting of MES recipes and other components that support manufacturing operations

Understand and track customer complaints and technical issues, the progress of vendor inquiries, and work through issues to resolution

Develop and maintain training resources, guides and other material

Develop and execute manual unit test suites as well as perform unit and integration testing

Review and provide detailed feedback on peer design and source code

Provide accurate estimates and effectively communicate status

Support 24x7 on-call support rotation

Adhere to GMP, regulatory requirements and industry guidelines

Traits we believe make a strong candidate :

A Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or similar field is preferred

7-10 years of manufacturing automation experience is required, MES experience highly preferred

Experience with development, deployment and support of MES/DCS/PCS or other manufacturing systems

Strong PLC, automation & integration experience

Previous experience with SCADA, MRP/ERP/MES design, integration, maintenance and continuous improvement

Experience with SQL, VBA, C++ and/or XML and experience with OOP languages

Knowledge of GMP manufacturing processes and experience supporting business, quality and/or facilities systems is a plus

Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide audience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proven track record of analyzing data and solving problems independently

Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas

Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams

Strong time management skills, including the ability to adhere to assigned prioritizations, manage expectations, meet interim and final deadlines, and thrive in a dynamic work environment

Pay Rate: $90,000 annually.
