The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Senio r Product Manager, Data Strategy will play a critical role in shaping our data landscape to support strategic initiatives across the enterprise. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all data-related initiatives align with our business goals and contribute to a cohesive, enterprise-wide data framework and Strategy. The role demands a balance between strategic planning and hands-on execution, with a focus on standardizing data requests and governance to feed into the overall product roadmap.

PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Strategy/Discovery:

•Develop and execute a data strategy that aligns with the company's objectives, ensuring that all data initiatives support our strategic vision.

•Identifies, quantifies, and effectively communicates data related opportunities; analyzes competitive / Industry landscape and validates solutions for future data strategy aligned with business goals.

•Monitor the health of the SSMD Data Initiative products and its businesses, anticipate business needs and proactively work with stakeholders to establish requirements for advanced recurring and ad-hoc data and analytics support, including reporting, analyses, actionable insights, and recommendations to drive growth. set proper delivery expectations according to business priorities with limited manager's oversight.

•Partners with UX, marketing research, client solutions, and business stakeholders to observe and solicit feedback from end sales, service marketing users.

•Connect strategic initiatives and their data needs to a common, enterprise data framework, promoting consistency and efficiency.

Planning and Governance:

•Creates and maintains product vision and roadmap; creates business plans to secure funding; develops go-to-market strategy and value proposition.

•Implement and oversee governance practices to maintain high data quality standards across master data and analytics platforms and systems.

•Provides Product Management discovery support for broader and more complex products and features within an assigned product area or domain.

•Proactively seek out strategic data opportunities, such as creating reusable data products for Sales , Service and Marketing(SSMD).

•Ensure that strategic and tactical activities are directly tied to the product roadmap, providing clear direction and governance for new data related intake requests.

Development:

•Work with manager and direct line of leadership to define priorities that align with evolving business priorities, ability to set proper expectations and manage project/task progress with team members and stakeholders

•Facilitate access to reliable data products, enabling stakeholders to derive actionable insights for business decisions.

Sales & Client Engagement:

•Engages with cross-functional stakeholders and business partners, to ensure data vision addresses:

o Marketplace access

o Format o Key features and functionality requirements, service, and support requirements

o Key domains

Evaluation:

•Measures and monitors product KPI performance, and provides strategy and roadmap input; accordingly, makes end-of-life recommendations for non-performant data products.

•Evaluates customer/market/financial data, identifies emerging patterns, trends and problems, and recommends strategies and approaches for resolution.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

Analyzes issues, determines root cause, and creates/compares alternative solutions that are in the best interest of the business. •Managing Multiple Priorities - Manages multiple concurrent objectives, projects, or activities, making informed prioritization and time allocation decisions. Understands work and activity can be impacted by shifts in demands and priorities. Responds to day-to-day operational priorities while still making progress on project work. Addresses potential conflicts that impact delivery commitments, working with team members, management, and other stakeholders to re-prioritize as necessary.

•Requirements Analysis - Working knowledge of and ability to elicit, analyze and document required business requirements. Engages with the customers, users, and other stakeholders to gather requirements. Utilizes appropriate methods, tools, and techniques for requirements analysis. Challenges, and manages conflicts and expectations associated with requirements analysis.

•System and Technology Integration - Working knowledge of technology system features and facilities and the ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases, and platforms. Works with existing interfaces as well as integration and migration plans within own area and across aligned/associated areas. Explores major issues and considerations for successful system integration. Plays an active role in current and planned integration efforts.

•Technology Savvy - Working knowledge of technology and its ability to improve work processes and results (e.g., enhance productivity, efficiency, collaboration, quality, or customer satisfaction). Skilled in using technology to solve work-related problems and create new business opportunities. Pursues opportunities to develop knowledge and experiments with emerging technology solutions that can help accomplish work goals. Serves as a resource to help others understand and anticipate the impact of technology on current processes, products, and services.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field

•Minimum of 8 years of experience with at least 5 years in a data strategy role, with a proven track record of successful data product management.

•Applies a broad knowledge of business, product performance and industry principles, practices, and procedures.

•Working knowledge of SAFe Agile Methodology.

•Working knowledge of data management, data governance and high-level data engineering concepts.

•Experience working cross-functionally with a variety of different domains, including Engineering, Finance, and Business Development.

•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, that can be applied across a diverse set of audiences.

•Experience in design, development and implementation of product plans.

•Experience in full product lifecycle methodologies.

•Experience in creating, prioritizing and recommending epics and features.

•Experience in in conducting competitive research and analysis.

•Experience in identifying KPI's and other analytics to measure product value.

•Experience with executive presentations.

•Experience in a collaborative, cross-functional, and complex team environment.

•A proactive and self-motivated approach which includes an appetite to improve results and endless intellectual curiosity, desire to continuously learn about the fast-changing media landscape

•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
