OVERVIEW
In this role, the CNC Router Operator is responsible for entering in job file numbers given to them from the CAD department and loading the correct material onto the router table to allow the design, like letters and patterns, to be cut out of the loaded material.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Match job file program with material required for job
Load material on machine
Ensure correct tooling is in place for the job.
Execute job file program.
Monitor machine performance to ensure program is executing properly.
Be alert for broken tool or errant tool path.
Unload and deburr completed parts.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic
Design — Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Engineering and Technology — Be able to apply principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Candidates with large format digital print experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Vocational school or 1-3 years of related exp preferred.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Must be able to quality inspect, deburr, and label all parts as needed.
Must be able to maintain and clean machinery as needed daily.
Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences.
Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links.
Check to ensure that workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation.
