Senior Tax Manager - Entertainment Business Management Firm
A premier entertainment business management company is seeking a Tax Manager and a Senior Tax Manager to join their team in their Century City or Encino offices. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week. The Tax Managers will play a key role in overseeing all financial and tax aspects for major entertainers, executives, and HNW clients.
Responsibilities
Preparation and review of complex, multi-state tax returns (individual, S corp, C corp, partnership, estate and trusts)
Conduct tax research and multi-jurisdictional planning
Assist partners in identifying and onboarding prospective clients
Support Account Managers to provide highest level of customer service by assisting with contracts, budgeting, home purchases, tours, etc.
Stay up-to-date on changing state and federal tax laws
Act as a coach and mentor to develop Staff Tax members and supervise and review Staff's preparation of tax returns
Requirements
Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field. Master's in Taxation a plus but not required
CPA license preferred, not required
4+ years of experience working directly for high net-worth clients. Industry experience in Entertainment or Music a plus
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a top-tier tax team
Experience with DataFaction/Agilink and Go Systems or comparable tax software preferred
Prior knowledge to royalties, touring services and music publishing a big plus
