Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks multiple Residential Counselors to be part of a Therapeutic Day Program in Springfield. Responsibilities include a variety of recreational duties, implementing treatment plans, modeling/teaching life and social skills, and transporting youth. Other duties include completion of daily logs and assisting with the daily program organization. Candidates must have experience with both verbal and physical de-escalation specifically, with youths that experience extreme behaviors. The residents come from many different backgrounds, range in age from kindergarteners to 18 year-olds, and have a wide variety of needs. The residents have a range of emotional and behavioral needs. All of them are physically capable of doing their ADLs, and do not need any physical assistance.
Location: Springfield, MA
Facility Type: Residential Group Homes
Openings: 2nd and 3rd shift available, full time
Start Date: 7/9/2024
Salary: $20-$23/hr based on experience
Qualifications:
*Prefer candidates who have experience working with children with trauma backgrounds and/or severe behavioral issues.
*Must be at least 21 years old
*Valid driver’s license in active status, with reliable transportation and a clean driving record
*Approved CORI/DCF/Driving checks required.
