Job Duties
Professionally represent client as client billing office
Review hospital data capture/patient facesheet to ensure accurate demographic setup
Enter patient/insurance demographics
Accurately enter charges in high-volume environment
Audit batch lists prior to posting charges
Maintain log of posted and unposted batches
Identify account problems, trends, and patterns
Occasionally assist with overflow from Patient Account Services (Customer Service)
Adhere to defined department goals and activity metrics
Comply with state/federal regulations and adhere to HIPAA and PHI guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1- 2 years medical collections or applicable experience
10-key by touch
60 wpm preferred
Strong attention to detail, goal oriented
Commitment to superior customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication
Team player
Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
Comfortable with computer use, online resources, and learning new software
MedFM software experience is a plus
