A Project Manager at Ideaworks carries the overall responsibility for delivering a project on time, to budget but with a great outcome. You will need to liaise with a wide team, both internal and external to ensure deadlines are met. You will partner with our project designers, manage all planning, financial, procurement, delivery and labour matters. You will be used to working with main contractors under JCT and bespoke contracts and ensuring all contractual obligations are adhered to.
The role involves:
Taking ownership of all contract deliverables
Managing the payment schedules, applications and vesting of goods
Creating and managing change orders, in liaison with the project designer
Close interaction with end clients or representatives and main contractors
Keeping all internal contract information and dates up to date
Producing Risk assessments and Method statements and ensuring all H&S requirements are followed
The ideal candidate will be:
Meticulous by nature and able to deliver exceptional results consistently whilst managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Have excellent communication skills to manage and nurture all client and/or client team relations/liaison throughout the course of each project and thereafter.
Able to think on their feet – there will undoubtably be challenges and puzzles to solve whilst delivering each project.
Competent and willing to learn new skills and processes.
An expert in teamwork and collaboration.
Well organised, a good planner and able to prioritise.
Able to see the bigger picture, and not get caught up in the detail.
Proactive and driven, eager to learn and embrace change.
Humble, and readily admit where you don’t know or have made a mistake.
Aware of your audience and able to adapt your approach accordingly.
