In the role of Legal Services Manager (LSM) you will be a member of the SEI Legal & Compliance Department and will work with a team of attorneys and other legal professionals to handle a wide range of corporate governance topics for SEIs U.S. based regulated subsidiaries. Responsibilities are performed under the direction of an attorney.
As the LSM you are an integral part of the legal governance team, and must have excellent time management and relationship skills in order to coordinate and communicate with members of SEIs Legal & Compliance team and SEIs business teams. In addition, you must be comfortable working in a constantly-changing, technology-driven environment. This role will report to the General Counsel overseeing subsidiary governance.
**What youll do:**
* Organize, prepare and attend Board and Committee meetings, record minutes and resolutions, and facilitate the communication
* Coordinate shareholder consents and other shareholder communications as necessary
* Communicate with internal and external stakeholders your accurate understanding of subsidiary requirements and governance processes, that they are adhered to and statutory obligations are met
* Maintain official records and information relating to subsidiaries corporate governance as required by law and made available when required by authorized persons
* Support projects, research and analysis of corporate governance matters directed by the General Counsel overseeing subsidiary governance
* Develop expertise on subsidiary governance, reporting requirements, and management of SEIs subsidiaries
* Assist in advising business units and Board of Directors on aspects of corporate secretarial/corporate governance practice, corporate law and internal policies
**What you bring to the table:**
* B.S./B.A. from accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
* Demonstrated competency in legal services, compliance or business management
* Industry experience in investment management, financial services and/or public governance preferred
* Ability to create and share sound and reliable work product directly with clients
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Advanced experience in Microsoft Office
