We are recruiting for a Health Benefits Analyst to join the East Region.

The Opportunity:

The Health Benefits Analyst is integral to supporting the delivery of a broad and diverse range of group health benefits consulting services to our clients. The health practice is a dynamic and growing business and offers significant visibility, client interaction, opportunity to perform as an influential member of client teams, and to learn and develop broad expertise in the emerging areas of the health benefits field through participation in special projects.

The Role:

The Health Benefits Analyst works collaboratively with clients and other professionals in providing an integrated and thorough approach to client matters. Health Benefits Analysts perform these duties at a high level of proficiency, do advanced technical work, and interface directly with clients and providers. Additional responsibilities may include: preparation of bid specifications; analyses of proposals; preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports; renewal analyses; benefit plan pricing; analyses of complex technical data with regard to health benefit plans; preparing budget projections; claims cost analyses; and preparing claims curves for retiree health valuations. The Requirements:

Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's degree, typically in a math, science or actuarial science field of study, a strong mathematical or accounting background, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), and proficiency using computer software. 0-3 years of work experience related to benefits analyses or underwriting and actuarial exam progress with a desire to achieve credentialed status are preferred. Strong project management skills with ability to succeed in fast paced environment with multiple conflicting deadlines are required.

Segal's total rewards are part of what makes us a special place to work. The current salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 plus opportunity for a discretionary performance bonus based on company profitability and employee performance. In addition, Segal offers a comprehensive suite of benefits to include a non-contributory defined benefit pension plan, matching and discretionary contributions to a 401(k) profit sharing plan, medical and prescription benefits including contributions to a health savings account for eligible employees, dental benefits, life insurance, disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, wellness benefit reimbursements and rewards, and professional credential and tuition reimbursement. Segal also provides comprehensive paid time off including holidays, vacation days, sick leave, paid family leave and sabbaticals.
