Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate High Risk Perinatal Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract position in Atlanta, GA. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns during the perinatal period.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-risk pregnant women, newborns, and their families during the perinatal period.
Monitor the health and well-being of mothers and babies, identifying and addressing any complications or concerns.
Assist with labor and delivery, including providing support and care during childbirth.
Educate patients and their families on prenatal and postnatal care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment progress.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience within the high-risk perinatal specialty.
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of perinatal nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
