The Director of Marketing at our company plays a pivotal role in shaping the entire spectrum of our marketing, branding, and public image initiatives. This position demands a unique blend of strategic thinking and creative design abilities, requiring an individual who can independently take the lead in crafting and implementing our corporate image. As a self-starter, the Director will operate with minimal oversight, driving innovative marketing strategies that resonate on a global scale. The role involves extensive international travel, approximately 20% to 30% per month, underlining the importance of a candidate who is not only willing but enthusiastic about representing the company at a global level. Additionally, the Director of Marketing will provide crucial support to our outside sales team, ensuring alignment between marketing efforts and sales strategies. Reporting directly to and collaborating closely with the VP of Sales, this position offers a dynamic opportunity for a visionary leader to make a significant impact on our company's market presence and success.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Website Management:
Oversee and manage regular updates to the company website to ensure accurate and current information.
Collaborate with the web development team to implement improvements and enhancements.
Collateral Development:
Create and update product datasheets, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of marketing collateral.
Social Media Presence:
Lead the development and execution of the company's social media strategy.
Manage and update social media platforms to engage with the audience and promote brand awareness.
Trade Show Coordination:
Coordinate all aspects of global trade shows, including booth logistics, graphics, and travel arrangements for the trade show team.
Design visually appealing and effective trade show booths to showcase the company's products/services.
Video Content Management:
Manage all video content, including customer-specific videos and public videos on YouTube.
Collaborate with relevant teams to create engaging and informative video content.
Quarterly Reporting:
Present quarterly reports to the management team based on website and LinkedIn performance.
Analyze key metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Sales Support:
Act as a support person for outside salespeople, providing them with the necessary marketing materials and information.
Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales goals.
Desired Skill
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience (2-3 years) in a marketing role, with a focus on content creation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
Familiarity with digital marketing channels and social media platforms.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Knowledge of Word Press
Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite and InDesign.
