**What you will be doing:** You’ll be responsible providing academic instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula. Provide students with basic direction, in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions:
1. Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits; coordinate with other staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training.
2. Develop and prepare lessons; recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
3. Utilize workplace language and behavior expectations in the classroom; on a routine basis, relate academic skills to career technical training and workplace requirements; inquire if individual students need assistance.
4. Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
5. Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.
6. Administer and correct tests; maintain progress and attendance reports.
7. Great communication skills and able to multi-task.
8. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with students on different levels and different needs.
9. Able to implement classroom accommodations for those who need. Year-round program.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ **_Valid teaching certificate_** , experience with youth, and communication/computer proficiency.
+ One (1) year instructional experience preferred.
