The Habitat for Humanity Restores are home improvement stores and donation centers.
The Restore Team Lead will report to the ReStore Manager and will be responsible for coordinating and tracking the arrival of donated and purchased good. The Team Lead is a full time position in our ReStore Warehouse/Receiving. As the Team Lead, working to ensure the efficiency of the ReStore, successful Team Leads will have experience driving a forklift to move and arrange store inventory. Our Restores are open Sunday - Saturday.
Job Duties :
Working in the ReStore and Warehouse, the Team Lead will assist with packing and unpacking products arriving at the store.
Maintaining safety protocol, the Team Lead will routinely operate a forklift to arrange, unpack, stock or unload merchandise from incoming delivery trucks.
Assists the ReStore Manager in training others on forklift safety and procedures.
Checks store stock and informs management when store stock levels are low.
Tracks merchandise incoming from suppliers and monitors products for safe storage in the ReStore storeroom.
Maintains and develops new relationships with suppliers and stays informed of any product or merchandise changes.
Arranges merchandise in the storeroom and organizes merchandise for easy tracking by product name.
Participates in outreach activities and programs that help external organizations and service providers understand the Dallas Area Habitat ReStore Programs and processes.
Provides excellent customer service to continue to enhance the image of ReStores with the community and other ReStore customers.
Qualifications and Experience:
3-5 years work experience
Ability to work with a diverse customer base and staff with compassion and professionalism.
Strong communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Knowledge of general merchandising techniques and store operations
Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate a forklift.
Must have good teamwork skills as necessary to work with other internal departments.
Attention to detail and good organizational skills are needed to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis.
The ReStore operates Sunday - Saturday between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. Candidates should have flexibility and availability to work at least one weekend per month. We offer PTO, 401K and SICK Leave for all full time employees. If you are interested in joining out team, please submit your resume today.
