Mainframe Application Analyst

**What does a successful Mainframe Application Analyst do at Fiserv?**

As a successful Mainframe Application Analyst, you will develop and/or maintain moderately complex to complex software components of the business application system utilizing available Mainframe developer tools. This will be approximately 80% software development and 20% analysis.

**What you will do:**

+ You will create, execute and review test plans

+ You will define and establish test data

+ Create and maintain software documentation and report system data using reporting tools

+ Define and document mainframe systems changes

+ Regularly interface with various business units and senior IT staff in order to obtain system change approvals

**What you will need to have:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology or related field or equivalent experience

+ 5+ years of software application development experience

+ Experience with COBOL, MVS/JCL, DB2, SQL, CICS and VSAM in a mainframe environment.

+ Per contractual obligations, must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a qualified United States Government security clearance, (e.g., US DOD Secret)

**What would be great to have:**

+ Mainframe application programming experience with loan servicing systems

+ 3+ years' experience with storage and retrieval of information in databases and other indexed storage methods

+ A background in the financial industry, (and specifically within the student loan industry)
