Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The Branch Manager in Retail Banking is a pivotal role, tasked with overseeing the daily operations of a retail bank branch. This position requires at least 6 years of banking experience and involves managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining customer satisfaction, and driving business growth through the acquisition of new customers and the expansion of services to existing ones.
Primary Responsibilities:
Bank Deposit and Loan New Customer Marketing:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers for deposits and loans.
Identify target markets and create tailored campaigns to meet their needs.
Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional activities and events.
Analyze market trends and customer feedback to refine marketing approaches.
Supervise Operations Personnel and Evaluate Employee Performance:
Oversee daily activities of the operations staff to ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Identify training and development needs and facilitate appropriate programs.
Foster a positive work environment to enhance team morale and productivity.
Review Reports for Risk Control:
Regularly review and analyze risk control reports, including Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), overdrafts (O/D), kiting suspects, general ledger (G/L) discrepancies, balance fluctuations, and large deposits.
Implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Supervise Teller Personnel Transactions on a Daily Basis:
Monitor teller transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during transactions.
Provide guidance and support to teller staff as needed.
Confirm Accuracy and Completeness of Daily Processes:
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Customer Account Profile (CAP) at the time of account opening.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of currency exchanges involving Korean Won at the end of each business day.
Confirm the accuracy and completeness of non-customer wire transfer records at the end of the day.
Validate the accuracy and completeness of non-customer Money Order sales records daily.
Oversee Branch Maintenance and Handle Customer Complaints and Inquiries:
Ensure the branch is well-maintained, clean, and secure.
Address customer complaints and inquiries promptly and effectively, striving to resolve issues to customer satisfaction.
Implement strategies to improve overall customer service and branch experience.
Responsible for New Employee Training at the Branch:
Conduct orientation sessions for new hires, covering bank policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Mentor and support new employees to ensure a smooth integration into the team.
Prepare Monthly Branch Certification:
Compile and review monthly branch certification reports to ensure all operations are compliant and up-to-date.
Identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Submit accurate and timely reports to the regional manager for review.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years of banking experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong understanding of banking products, services, and regulations.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong customer service orientation.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position based at a retail bank branch.
May require occasional travel to attend meetings, training sessions, or assist other branches.
Standard working hours, with the possibility of extended hours during peak periods or special events.
