Job Description Visa Direct is an exciting, payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers or disbursements in the U. S. and around the world.  The push payments market in North America is estimated to be more than 10 Trillion of payment volume, replacing cash, checks, and ACH with push credits directly into bank accounts in real-time.

One of the prime responsibilities of the North America Visa Direct New Client Sales Engineering and Solutions team is ensuring that the payment stakeholders that sit between a company that wants to pull funds or disburse funds to a Card, Account or Wallet and the Visa network can successfully support Visa Direct transactions.  We refer to such stakeholders as Enablers, and they include acquirers, VisaNet processors, gateways, ISOs, and integrated software vendors.  The team is responsible to grow the number of ready Visa Direct Enablers in North America and that they are operating at scale.  The North America Visa Direct New Client Sales Engineering and Solutions team works cross-functionally with Visa sales, Client Services, Risk and AML, Finance, Product, Technology, and Legal teams to ensure client success.

The Manager - NA Visa Direct New Client Sales Engineering and Solutioning will be a key team member of the NAVD team responsible for leading solution design client discussions for clients to offer Visa Direct domestic and cross-border Pull or Push-to-Card (VDC), Account (VDA) or Wallet (VDW) money movement services to their merchant customers.

Engagement begins with an early-stage consultation (sale engineering) to understand the partner’s needs, resources and targeted timeframe.  Conversations will continue as we co-design a solution with the partner, agreeing on scope, and timelines (solutioning).  Project Management of multiple stakeholders and teams within Visa will be required to develop, implement, and launch the agreed upon solution, so fundamental project management skill is key.  The role holder will have end-to-end engagement responsibility for the Visa Direct solution designed as the onboarding lead, ensuring a successful launch.

You will work closely with various teams across Visa to successfully develop solutions and partnerships to scale our business. As one of the most diverse roles at Visa, you will excel at handling ambiguity and uncertainty. The ideal candidate should know what it is like to start something from scratch, grow it structurally and methodically.

The role requires a unique combination of product expertise, problem solving ability, flexibility with rapid changes, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail. Day-to-day responsibilities include the following:

Responsibilities include:

Familiarity with digital payment technologies, the payment ecosystem and the various players involved in its value chain

Develop subject matter expertise on the Visa Direct product suite, including platform expertise, market readiness, product features, pricing economics, and global nuances for Visa Direct Card, Visa Direct Account and Visa Direct Wallet and applicable VAS services

Identify opportunities with partners and co-design solutions to unlock these opportunities

Lead multiple client engagements from product solutioning perspective and provide SME support to the sales teams in client discussions

Partner with client and internal stakeholders to design compelling customer-facing solutions and approach for integration to the Visa network

In collaboration with Visa and VPL Client Implementation teams, manage overall client onboarding and implementation with clients through to support their first program launch.  Work with cross functional teams to ensure partner implementations are on track and delivering against plan.

Collaborate with cross-functional business, product, technology, client services and other teams to deliver best in class client solutions and product offerings

Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders at various levels (including executive leadership).

The role-holder will work closely with companies that are market moving, cross border payments innovators and on projects that have high visibility and impact.  The role-holder should be motivated by managing high profile, complex projects relatively independently.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications - 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

- 5 or more years of payments industry experience with good exposure to payment processing, payment services product management, business operations, or consulting

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to a broad audience in an approachable way

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on clients

- Strong project management and organization with the ability to independently lead and manage complex projects with multiple work streams and cross-functional stakeholders

- Good understanding of money movement space, key players (card based, account based and wallet based), competition and market trends

- Fast learner and critical thinker, ability to interpret rules and policies and clearly articulate applicability to programs

- Demonstrated thought leadership, curiosity and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results

- Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately

Additional Information Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,300.00 to 172,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
