Job Description
This position's main objective is to ensure the organization meets throughput, cycle time, and on-time shipment goals by assisting with the Master Production Scheduler on all projects.
Assist in managing project schedules and production plans.
•Release shop orders to Manufacturing.
•Manage constraint work centers and monitor resource capacity.
•Daily review of exception messages and assist with re-scheduling.
•Assist in maintaining new parts and associated master data.
•Assist in developing new production planning and scheduling processes within ERP system.
•Act as a backup and report to Master Production Scheduler.
•Support the Operations Department and communicate with departmental leadership.
Required Skills
Strong Microsoft Office Skills
•Basic understanding of production processes
•Skilled in change management and conflict resolution
•Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment
•Ability to work under minimal supervision
•Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions
•Quick learner
•Self-motivated
•Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing methodologies
Required Experience
•2 - 5 years working experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
•Previous working experience using an ERP system and/or knowledge of MRP (preferred)
