Our client in NY is seeking a Sr. Cloud Database Architect/Engineer for a direct hire opportunity! 100% Remote.
**W2 salary only. No C2C or third-parties**
The Database Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Oracle and SQL database solutions to meet organizational requirements, ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect secure and cost-effective database infrastructures, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to drive innovation and support business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of database design principles, automation frameworks, and cloud-native architectures across database and Cloud platforms
Qualifications:
Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience in architecting, implementing, and managing Cloud-native database solutions, e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Autonomous Data Warehouse, including deployment, configuration, and optimization.
Ten years combined experience in Database Architect, Database Administrator, or similar role.
Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
Expertise with database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
Experience implementing security controls and best practices for database environments.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data security and privacy.
Strong understanding of encryption technologies, access controls, and authentication mechanisms.
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline; Masters degree preferred.
8 years minimum experience (higher preferred), 12 years of related experience, including a demonstrated ability in technology area. In-depth knowledge of associated technology areas that could impact area of responsibility; healthcare technology experience preferred.
