Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Senior Services of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of San Antonio, the Adopt-A-Senior Program Director is responsible for the Adopt-A-Senior Program execution, which involves the quality delivery of services to seniors to reduce isolation in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. The director selects, trains, supervises staff, and works cooperatively within agency, Advisory Board members, volunteer station staff, and parishes to serve seniors most in need. The director is responsible for the program’s compliance, performance, and ensuring quality services. The director will oversee program operations, case management to seniors, volunteer recruitment, database management, recordkeeping, accounting software transactions, policy/procedure, and other reporting outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:
*This position is responsible for recruitment, hiring and training of all staff under their supervision and will make recommendations for termination of employees.
*To develop and implement employee development plans for program employees.
*Plan and develop all phases of Adopt-A-Senior program operations to include volunteer recruitment, volunteer eligibility, volunteer placement, and case management to seniors including outcome measurements.
*Supervise and manage staff to outline work plans, volunteer duties, and files in compliance with program activities.
*Adhere to and administer personnel policies and procedures for staff consistent with those of Catholic Charities.
*Provide planning, support, budgetary information and program materials for coordinators according to Catholic Charities personnel policies and procedures.
*Work with program accountant and CFO to ensure financial records are in compliance with grant standards.
*Recruit, select, orient and place quality volunteers to serve seniors.
*Create and implement strategy to increase volunteer involvement working in the community and with parishes throughout the archdiocese.
*Develop, maintain, and approve appropriate fiscal, personnel, program and volunteer records or reports for agency and funding source.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education Bachelor’s degree in management/social work or related field preferred but not required.
Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a nonprofit and/or business setting working with volunteers and least 1 year of experience in program management.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in direct management or oversight of staff.
Experience managing a state or federal grant preferred.
License and Credentials Reliable transportation
Valid driver license and clean driving record
Valid vehicle insurance
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nonprofit/business setting working with volunteers and at least 1 year experience in program management.
Knowledge of working with those over 55 years of age and volunteers preferred.
Extensive working knowledge of interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with computer software including Microsoft suite, accounting software, email and internet.
Strong community outreach skills.
Experience managing federal grants preferred.
Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
Must have good written and verbal skills.
Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Travel Requirements:
Travel requirements for the position includes 40% local and 5% overnight.
