**Position Responsibilities:**

+ Assists in all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, rail (location specific) and inspects barges, trucks and railcars before loading.

+ Proficient in all facets of ADM’s safety programs and culture, has a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations, demonstrates safe working practices, has the ability to perform Safe Work Permit’s and recognize near misses

+ Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties

+ Ability to learn operation of the HMI operator station

+ Ability to direct others for efficient truck dumping operations

+ Ability to track and log all alarms, downtime, non-functioning equipment

+ Scale in and out all trucks to facility

+ Grade quality of all inbound and outbound commodities

+ Train as required for mycotoxin testing

+ Train as required for grain grading

+ General office duties (i.e. - answer phones, file paperwork, data entry).

+ Comply with regulatory requirements and customer audits including CFIA, HACCP, AIB and others.

+ Conduct laboratory tests on raw materials, in process and finished products using wet chemistry and analytical instruments.

+ Standardizing lab equipment.

+ Follow and demonstrate all Quality and Food Safety programs, including: GMPs, Pest Control, HACCP, SOPs, Good Laboratory Practices, and the Food Security program.

+ Provide accurate reports to departments and customers in a timely manner.

+ Maintain a clean, orderly and safe workplace.

+ Record all analysis on appropriate log sheets

+ Replenish chemical solutions as needed. Monitor and report on laboratory inventories.

+ Conduct lab equipment calibrations.

+ Train new lab technicians/operators in performing required analysis.

+ Must properly setup and operate laboratory equipment effectively.

**General Requirements:**

+ Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures , as well as a commitment to uphold the ADM Code of Conduct.

+ Required to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. The shift may include 8 to 12 hours shifts on a rotational schedule.

+ Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), move up to 50 pounds, as well as the ability to wear a respirator.

+ Colleague will be expected to show an ability to learn functions outside of the production specialist to help fill for temporary or permanent vacancies in other roles.

+ Perform any other job or task that assist with operations or the overall efficiency of the day to day workings of the facility.

+ Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed.

+ Exhibit a professional image; maintain respectful attitude.

+ Exhibit regular and prompt attendance.

+ Ability to work safely and follow policies and procedures

+ Attend safety training as required

+ Ability to effectively communication with all members of team

+ Must exhibit organization skills.

+ Computer skills are a must; previous experience with data entry using Microsoft Word & Excel is preferred.

+ Previous experience with office equipment such as copier, fax machine, etc.
