Description:
We’re seeking an Application Security Engineer with experience in Integrating security tools and processes and collaborating with developers and operations teams.
The candidate should have good knowledge on the security concepts and best practices to be followed in software development.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of how SAST, DAST and SCA security scans work and how those can be integrated in the CICD pipeline of the source code repositories and a good knowledge on the Gitlab security scan and CICD.
Responsibilities: Maintain essential security operations like managing security tools, perform security scans for applications, generate security report, collaborate with developers and operations teams for remediation
Handle queries in the support channels related to application security and address the queries on time.
Work on proof of concepts for enabling new tools in the CICD pipeline and evaluate the capability of the tools.
Guide the developers with recommended solutions to fix a vulnerability identified by security scans.
Publish documentations about the security scans and create awareness among the developers and owners to follow the best practices.
Review the code and provide recommendations based on the best practices.
Handle support calls to answers questions related to the security scans and vulnerabilities identified by the security tools.
Analyze security scan failures in the GitLab and work with Gitlab Support to resolve the failures.
Required skills and qualifications: 5+ years of experience in software development and DevOps.
Good knowledge on the security concepts and best practices to be followed in software development.
3+ years of experience in integrating security tools for SAST, DAST, SCA
2+ years of experience in AWS and Azure cloud platform.
Experience in building CICD pipeline/actions in Gitlab/GitHub
Good communication skill and some experience in handling the queries and responding the queries on support channels.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
