Associate Director Operations Planning And Scheduling Fort Collins , Colorado Apply Now Purpose and ScopeThe Associate Director Operations Planning and Scheduling develops and directscomplex supply chain long and mid-term plans while collaborating internallywith all departments to ensure end-to-end integration of Sales & OperationsPlanning to drive on-time in-full delivery and to maximize revenues. Thisposition must effectively work and communicate with all departments to developsupply plans that deliver our marketing partners' and customers' finishedgood requirements while optimizing the efficiency of the operation. TheAssociate Director Operations Planning and Scheduling oversees and directs theScheduling team in the development of the production schedule, including thescheduling of supporting departments, as well as weekly meetings.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDirect the annual Operating Plan process for the upcoming calendar year.Lead the gathering and presentation of Sales and Operations Planning(S&OP) inputs and proposals for approval within the monthly S&OPmeeting, including organizing and maintaining global product demand andtranslating global demand into a production plan.Plan, develop, and implement continuous improvement activities inscheduling and planning policies in accordance with the company's strategicplan as well as maintain and foster continual process improvements inTolmar's S&OP, Control Tower and Ready to Execute (RTE) processes.Coordinate with Product Supply Chain Manager(s) and Sales teams toaggregate global partner demands.Monitor inventory levels and adjust production outputs to avoid under- orover-production.Prepare and coordinate the preparation of reports and analyses outliningprogress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.Report on supply plans including Material Requirements Planning, KPIs anddepartment objectives in support of Board Reviews, S&OP and strategicinitiatives.Ensure alignment between Operations and Quality teams and Finance related toproduction plans; create transparency and control when changes areintroduced to the plan to ensure financial implications are anticipated inadvance and teams are aligned.Develop and implement procedures and tools to create a controlled andstreamlined environment with a focus on defining and monitoring productioncapacity, lead times and cycle time.Interpret data and analyze results while ensuring quality and accuracy toenable better business decisions.Analyze demand against capacity to suggest appropriate changes to headcountrequirements.Identify and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive positivebusiness results.Implement best practices in demand and supply forecasting to improve forecastaccuracy.Conduct ongoing reviews of forecasts and actuals against capacity to improveconfidence of financial projections.Review customer orders, production schedules, ERP reports, shippingschedules/forecasts and vendor forecasts to determine effect on supply andcommunicate the impact to appropriate departments, assisting in there-direction of activities as needed.Administer department budget and authorize expenditures. Develop short- andlong-term budget projections and plans.Serve as a project leader for inventory projects (i.e. new productlaunches, etc.).Ensure all scheduling and planning duties are performed in accordance withcGMP procedures and established priorities, policies and practices of thecompany.Implement safety stock strategies for appropriate finished goods inventory.Collaborate with Operations departments to implement measures to ensure teamsare ready to execute efficiently.Drive process improvements to support on time delivery of orders topartners/customers.Plan and conduct meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance withestablished practices, implement new policies and keep employees abreast ofcurrent changes and standards.Perform other duties as requ red.Core ValuesThe Associate Director Operations Planning and Scheduling is expected tooperate within the framework of Tolmar's Core Values:Consistently operate with the highest standards of ethics and compliance.Take ownership of your actions, success and setbacks.Respect each other and understand that honest collaboration is at the heart ofour company success.Go the extra mile to make things happen.Be committed to all we do and the patients we serve.Embrace change with enthusiasm.Strive to learn about and understand the needs of customers and patients,and take action with great speed and efficiency no matter the task.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong communication abilities, both written and verbal.Knowledge of cGMP and other regulations pertinent to manufacturingpharmaceutical products.Strong relationship management and interpersonal/communication skills.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a high level of attentionto detail and the ability to interpret MRP (Material Requirement Planning)information.Excellent managerial skills with the ability to coach and mentor staff inorder to develop skills and competencies required to meet business needs.Strong computer skills necessary - MS Word, Excel, Smartsheet, etc. withprevious ERP/MRP experience.Ability to communicate, cultivate and maintain collaborative relationshipswith all levels of the organization, including presenting to Executives andthe Board of Directors.Ability to negotiate with and influence others to achieve divisional andcorporate goals and objectives.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Education & Experience
