Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers in the design, development, and testing of machinery and rotating equipment.
Oversee the entire project lifecycle from concept to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Develop and implement engineering strategies, standards, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex engineering problems and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct performance evaluations, mentor team members, and support their professional development.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, and report on project status to senior management.
Participate in client meetings, providing technical insights and fostering strong client relationships.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering, machinery, and rotating equipment design, and integrate new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A Masters degree is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on machinery and rotating equipment design.
Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within an engineering team.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles, industry standards, and regulations related to machinery and rotating equipment.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering design tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and innovatively.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
