CGH has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the CGH Team.
Purpose:
This position will provide engineering design and construction oversight for FAA District locally implemented projects and coordinate with airport sponsors and other FAA entities on District and reimbursable project implementation when requested. This engineer will work closely and coordinate with the FAA NAS Planning Teams within the ATO Planning and Requirements Groups (PRG), Engineering Services (ES), System Support Centers (SSCs), Districts, and the local Airport District Offices (ADOs). This engineer will provide engineering support to the districts to support locally implemented Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation (BIL) projects (those projects being implemented by the SSC without ES involvement). This Engineer will also assist in design oversight of Airports reimbursable projects as needed. This type of support will involve creating and reviewing engineering packages, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing onsite work.
Responsibilities:

Provide engineering support to Districts for locally implemented projects
Provide engineering support for locally implemented BIL projects
Perform Site Surveys
Develop Statements of Work (SOW) and Design Plans
Prepare Project Risk Plans (PRP) and facilitate Operational Risk Management (ORM) activities with the local SSC
Coordinate and oversee implementation work
Coordinate with vendor providing services at the District level
Serve as construction oversight engineer when needed on project
When requested, provide onsite project oversight and coordination for reimbursable projects
Provide quality assurance on reimbursable projects
Review sponsor documentation and plans
Review designs from airport sponsors/consultants
Oversee construction activities on reimbursable projects
Communicate project status updates to PRG and other stakeholders
Coordinate construction activities/runway closures with the airport authority
Coordinate outages with the SSCs
Participate in reimbursable discovery meetings/process to assist in activities such as:
Impact analysis
Work closely with local Airport District Offices (ADOs) and ATO NAS Planning Teams to effectively support these reimbursable projects
Coordinate closely with ES to ensure quality assurance
Qualifications
Number of Years Experience Required:
The position requires 4-7+ years of engineering experience. Preferable disciplines include Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Structural Engineering.
Experience with the FAA is preferred.
Minimum Education and Certifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school is required. Preferable disciplines include Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Structural Engineering.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
U.S. Citizen or person with valid U.S. Work Visa who has lived in the U.S. for 3 or more years.
Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance.
20% Occasional travel required as needed by client/s and/or company
The position requires a strong background in engineering.
Analytical and critical thinking capabilities are essential.
This position requires effective problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication, a highly collaborative team player, solid knowledge of software tools, independent thinking, and superior time management capabilities.
FAA experience and knowledge of the NAS are highly desirable.
May require occasional light lifting of up to 10 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear and use a computer/keyboard/mouse for several hours on a daily basis.
