About The Role
As an early member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our product and technology. What You’ll Do
Lead the design and development of our technology stack, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance meet our business needs
Take ownership of end-to-end product development, from frontend user interfaces to backend server systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
Rapidly prototype and develop minimum viable products (MVPs) to test and iterate on ideas, incorporating user feedback into the development process
Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and ensure the quality of the codebase through code reviews and testing
Building new features and services in Python
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
5+ years of experience in designing and developing large-scale web applications using Python or a similar back-end language
Familiarity with common API and services design best practices
Deep experience in software system design and implementation - how they scale, how they should fit together, and how they’re likely to break
The ability to analyze and solve difficult problems across the front-end and back-end
Previous experience in a startup environment or as a founding Software Engineer

There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.
Salary range: $140,000 - $180,000 USD
