About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Wholesale Credit Review. The successful candidate will be part of the Credit Review team, which is dedicated to independently assessing the credit process in commercial lending portfolios. This role involves leading and participating in periodic credit reviews, evaluating the adequacy and accuracy of lending decisions, and ensuring the consistent application of risk policy and credit procedures. The Vice President will also be responsible for analyzing underwriting standards, monitoring asset quality, and assessing the effectiveness of credit management processes. As a key member of the team, the VP will be expected to lead a team of reviewers, chair meetings, and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of commercial credit experience, with a background in commercial credit underwriting and credit risk management. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, and a formal credit training program is preferred. The role demands a professional with a strong understanding of commercial credit principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a high level of responsibility and accountability. The position also requires the ability to manage multiple tasks, work well in a team, and be flexible and strategic in their approach.
