Position Summary:Target Ratios: 1:4 (could fluctuate based on unit needs/surges)
Will accept 13 week contract only
36 hours can be offered.
Shift: 12 Hour NIGHTS
Float Requirement: No Float
Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED
Holiday Requirements: Some holidays will be required.
Qualifications:Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years (*MUST have at least 2 years of experience for night shift for the unit to even review.)
Traveler Experience: Required (unit does not accept 1st time travelers)
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: Vents, IV Start, Triage, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation.
Certifications:ACLS and PALS
Preferred:SANE
PATIENT DIAGNOSES:The emergency department services infants through geriatrics requiring PALS, ACLS emergency care. The ED also cares for admission patients holding for an inpatient room that require admission level care at the ICU and medical unit level. The community hospital setting requires the primary ED RN to complete all tasks for patients independently including blood draws, IV starts, ortho splinting, forensics, and transportation.
UNIT SYSTEMS:Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE:Unit will schedule and balance based on needs.
UNIT ORIENTATION:12 hours; Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.
SCRUBS:solid navy and solid white
