The Suffolk Y JCC Your Communitys Community Center is looking for part-time Bus Drivers. SYJCC has been strengthening and enriching the Suffolk County community through social, recreational and educational programs for the past 40 years through a Jewish caring model. We are proud to help our neighbors learn, grow & thrive through programs focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility**.**
We offer a competitive salary to all staff members. Certain part time staff members (anyone working over 20 hours a week) receive some program discounts. We also provide paid sick time as well as flexible work schedules.
**Candidates should be available to work at least a minimum of 4 hours per day split between am/pm shifts.**
**Requirements:**
* Must have a valid CDL license Class B or C with a PS endorsement
* Must participate in trainings for clearance through the OSFC
* No seating restrictions
* Pass a DOT 19A physical exam
* Pass background/fingerprint check
* Pass drug test
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Clean driving record
* Good verbal communication skills
**Job Responsibilities:**
* Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections
* Adhere to all State and organizational COVID-19 policies and regulations
* Safely transport passengers
* Assist students in the loading and unloading process
* Transport children to and from local schools to SYJCC
* Transport adults from their home to SYJCC and collect suggested contribution in box provided
* Cleaning/disinfecting the bus interior prior to, during and after bus use
* Ensure all children/adults have a safe driving experience and arrive safely at their destination
* Conduct a bus check for sleeping children and belongings after each run
* Immediately report any unusual activity to a manager
