Hitec Food Equipment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to add to our team in Illinois. Our Field Service Engineers provide our customers with the installation and support of meat processing for the hotdog and sausage industry (industrial processing equipment); preventative maintenance; service and repair and any additional training required. Most of the work occurs at the customer locations and therefore 60 percent travel is required.

Our best employees in this role have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, are technically savvy, have a positive "can do" attitude, don't mind travel, are very customer focused, and are very self-motivated.
This position requires all the above traits as well as attention to details, an ability and willingness to learn quickly and remain flexible on last minute travel .
Additionally, we are looking for someone with strong communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritize the work.
2-3 years as a field service technician or engineer; service engineer
