Job Description At Square’s Inventory Foundations team, we're on a mission to revolutionize how businesses manage inventory, making it seamless for sellers worldwide to keep track of their products and make strategic, informed decisions. Together, we'll build systems that support our community of sellers and developers, creating a positive impact on businesses worldwide.

Qualifications You have:

2+ years of industry experience, preferably with a B.S. or equivalent.

Experience building and maintaining highly scalable and performant distributed systems

Technical initiative and a desire to make those around you better

Experience with incident response, including disaster recovery

Eagerness to share your own ideas, and openness to those of others.

Experience implementing Data Storage services at scale with one or more of the following databases: MySQL, TiDB, DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Elasticsearch

A knack for creating readable, well-crafted, maintainable code.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $135,200 - USD $202,800

Zone B: USD $128,500 - USD $192,700

Zone C: USD $121,700 - USD $182,500

Zone D: USD $115,000 - USD $172,400
