About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of advancing LGBTQ+ rights through impact litigation, public policy advocacy, and education. The successful candidate will be a strategic and visionary leader, not necessarily a lawyer, but must have an authentic commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy and civil rights. The role involves leading a team of 35+ staff and interns, including a Legal Team, and working closely with the Board of Directors. The Executive Director will be the chief ambassador, fundraiser, and spokesperson, responsible for deepening diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism within the organization, as well as fostering strategic alliances and partnerships to amplify the company's impact. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, fundraising, organizational and team management, community engagement, and financial and operational oversight.Candidates for the Executive Director position should be deeply committed to the values and mission of the company, with a focus on justice, equality, and inclusion. The role requires a leader who is adept at strategic planning and execution, with a proven track record in fundraising and resource development. The ideal candidate will be a relational and connected leader, capable of engaging diverse audiences and forging strategic partnerships. Leadership and organizational development skills are essential, as is the ability to manage a multi-stakeholder environment.
