Director of Development, Texas

Dallas, TX, United States

Organizational Summary

Boulder Crest Foundation is a pioneering nonprofit organization that exists to ensure that service members, veterans, first responders, and their families can thrive in the aftermath of struggle, stress, hardship, and trauma.

For far too many of these remarkable men and women, the cost of service to community and country is the quality of their lives. Too often, that cost comes in the form of suicide - which claims the lives of 20 members of the military and veteran community daily; and we lose more first responders than in the line of duty every year. We need a new and innovative approach and that is why Boulder Crest Foundation exists.

Boulder Crest is the global leader in the development, delivery, study, and scale of Posttraumatic Growth (PTG) based programs for times of struggle. As a $15 million a year organization, Boulder Crest delivers these programs at our wellness centers in Arizona (Sonoita) and Virginia (Bluemont), and through partnerships with nonprofit organizations and first responder departments in fifteen states across the country. The Boulder Crest Institute for Posttraumatic Growth is the leading global center focused on the theory, research, and application of Posttraumatic Growth, and is chaired by the founder of PTG, Dr Richard Tedeschi.

In August 2024, Boulder Crest is acquiring a 65-acre facility in Italy, Texas, custom-built for the running of Boulder Crest's Warrior PATHH, Struggle Well Experience, and Struggle Well programs. With an expected closing date of August 1st, this acquisition will mean that Boulder Crest desires to build a strong presence across the state of Texas, for the purposes of developing relationships, raising funds, cultivating volunteers and supporters, and creating significant levels of brand awareness. This role will support Boulder Crest's philanthropic and development efforts nationally and requires collaboration and partnership with the Executive Director for Boulder Crest Texas at Eagle Oak Ranch, Boulder Crest's Director of Philanthropy (and her team), and the Leadership Team.

Since the organization's founding in 2011, we have transformed the lives of tens of thousands in the military and first responder communities, and we are still just getting started. If you want to be a part of a thriving, innovative, and mission-driven culture, and help advance that mission through helping raise the funds and awareness required to do so, apply today.
