Job Description
Responsible for technical engineering, implementation and support of technologies deployed at the Bank. Develop and support capacity planning, disaster recovery, datacenter management, backups, documentation, server-based applications, and advanced troubleshooting across all technology components. Ensure established service level agreements are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Automate everything mentality utilizing PowerShell, Terraform, or any other configuration management tool.
Ensure that enterprise computing resources are available to the end users at all times.
Design, maintain and manage server, network, and application environments in various iterations including cloud services.
Provide recommendation for system architecture upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
Interact with all system vendors to resolve problems quickly and accurately.
Develop documentation of critical system infrastructure and applications within the operating environment.
Update key systems as needed to ensure regulatory compliance. Systems such as (but not limited to) VMware vSphere, Microsoft 365, VMware Horizon, Meraki
Plan and expand the enterprise systems infrastructure. Coordinate systems capabilities with user and business needs while anticipating future requirements of both the internal systems and end users.
Act as technical resource for staff within the Information Technology department.
Deliver successful change management and maintenance scheduling.
Remediate system vulnerabilities, and escalate unpatched issues while adhering to SLAs.
Architect and troubleshoot network segments.
Serve as point of escalation for IT Systems Engineers and Systems Support installation, sustainment, troubleshooting and repair of computer hardware, peripherals, software applications, and third-party Technology Service Providers.
Adhere to industry regulations and best practices for continuity, security, and integrity of the IT systems.
Support, transfer knowledge, and mentor other department employees.

Implement and document standard procedures for server build, to maintain security, business continuity and regulatory compliance.
Experience and Skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
A minimum of 10 years of experience with developing and managing key infrastructure
A minimum of 5 years of working experience with VMware (vSphere and Horizon), Windows and Linux server, server hardware.
A minimum of 5 years writing PowerShell scripts to automate software installations, modify registry and files/folders as well as harden Windows operating systems including Windows 10, 11, and Windows Server 2016 and 2019.
Experience with Qualys and remediating vulnerabilities is highly desirable.
Experience with Cloud services, SSO and MFA tools such as Okta, Microsoft Authenticator, Duo are desirable.
Proficient in managing and troubleshooting a secured Windows environment (Active Directory/Azure AD).
Working experience with configuration & automation management tools such as Intune and Terraform.
Secondary technologies: Networking (layer 2/3), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, SD-WAN.
Strong IT operations and engineering background
Strong technical background, strong written and oral communication skills, project management skills.
Ability to communicate technical details to non-technical and executive audiences.
The ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Ability to spot problematic areas, analyze solutions, propose resolutions, and coordinate their implementation.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Normal business office environment.
Must be able to lift 50lbs on occasions.
Must be able to work flexible hours to address system upgrades or problem resolution.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to manage multiple projects and deliverables concurrently, keeping stakeholders and supervisors informed of progress.
Must be able to interact and communicate effectively across departments.
