General Summary of Position: The executive director is responsible for managing day-to-day operations including maintaining full enrollment, and monitoring CCDF attendance, continuous quality improvement.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the Position: Ensure compliance with local and state regulations and company policies and procedures.

Monitor Child Care Development Fund (CCDF).

The director shall work on site during the child care center’s scheduled hours of operation.

Responsible for direct supervision and evaluation of classroom staff.

Responsible for ensuring staff have monthly professional development training.

Ensure that classroom observations are completed in a timely manner.

Ensure the use of Creative Curriculum is implemented within the classroom setting.

Assist with recruitment and enrollment of students.

Engage with parents including addressing student accidents and/or incidents.

Employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions.

Maintain strict adherence to the company code of conduct, policies and procedures including being a mandated reporter.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field from an accredited college or university, with a grade of C or better. Bachelor’s degree.

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an early childhood program.

Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Excellent computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and basic math skills.

Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions.

Must have a valid Indiana driver's license, reliable transportation, and show proof of current auto insurance because travel is required.

Must pass background checks and drug screenings.

Must be able to lift at least fifty (50) pounds.

Must maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor, a positive attitude, and be a team player.

Must be sensitive to the needs and problems of children with disabilities.

Salary range starting at $55,000. Benefits package includes a limited medical insurance reimbursement after 90 days of employment, PTO, sick time, and discounted child care rate Powered by JazzHR
