The Cloud Ingress team is building a highly scalable proxy to secure and route customer traffic to over 350 applications at Banking. We are looking for a lead engineer who can drive the design and implementation of the next generation Ingress Gateway control plane and data plane. We intend to transform our current software stack by focusing on cloud native technologies to build a more reliable, scalable, and feature-rich web layer. We intend to modernize the way traffic is routed and controlled, adding support for HTTP/2 and WebSockets to the existing stack. Our software stack is based on Envoy for the data plane and we will be building a control plane to manage routing changes. We are looking to add experienced distributed systems engineers who are passionate, eager for new challenges, can step up and own big chunks of that vision.
