Your Opportunity
The Corporate System team within Charles Schwab’s Corporate Technology Solutions organization is looking for a motivated, inquisitive, and experienced (at least 5 years) Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for our Treasury Capital Markets Technology Team. Working closely with our agile technical delivery team, various business partners, and application vendor team members, this BSA will take on a key role supporting critical projects including application configuration, business as usual training and support, and vital initiatives to allow for changing portfolio instruments. This is a meaningful role that drives our technical delivery forward and crafts solutions that meet business needs.
What You’ll Do
Investigate, define, and prioritize business requirements and ensure those requirements are clearly translated into technical specifications for configuration of the Calypso application
Directly engage with business and technical teams, product owners, partners and various levels leadership throughout the company
Become a domain expert on the underlying system processes and data structures that support Treasury functions
Build and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with team members and partners
Work closely with the agile scrum teams and product owners to prioritize work flow
See the big picture but also navigate the details
Solve problems and provide support, taking ownership to make decisions when appropriate
Provide streamlined and well-understood directives and communications
Communicate on both technical and non-technical levels to all levels of staff and management
Track and handle dependencies across lines of business and platforms
Understand applications from a technical and business perspective
Convey potential risks to milestones, data, security, and project delivery
Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and lead by example
What you have
Good interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, organization, and influencing skills
Experience working with leadership, business partners, and development teams
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Accomplished relationship management and mediation skills, with a curiosity about weighing multiple partner perspectives and driving timely and effective decision-making
High capacity for problem solving, technical knowledge, and sophisticated learning techniques
Must become comfortable with ambiguity while seeking clarity
Experience crafting processes documentation and diagrams
Familiarity with the financial services domain or a strong desire to learn about the industry
Experience in an agile development environment desired
Teammate with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor
Experience with SaaS trade-capture application configuration highly desired. Our application is Calypso
Understanding of accounting processes highly desired
Solid understanding of SQL and data structures highly desired
Familiarity and commitment to testing methodologies and test automation
Ability to listen and encourage thoughts, opinion, and discussions where needed
