Position Snapshot
As a Process Engineer at Atwell, you will work on major Oil & Gas / Energy projects. Experience required with piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) development as well as experience generating fluid hydraulic calculations for line sizing and formulation of process data for in-line instruments and loads for rotating equipment such as pumps and compressors. You will work for a nimble team with the backing of a larger consulting company with a broad range of services over multiple markets.
Requirements
7+ years of oil and gas industry experience in midstream and/or upstream
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program with a strong academic background is required
Professional Engineer (PE) registration a plus
Process Simulation Development using ProMax
PFD, P&ID, H&MB Development
Relief Valve Sizing & Contingency Analysis
Atmospheric Tanks Venting and Emissions Calculations
Equipment Design, Specification, & Sizing
Hydraulic Calculations & Studies
Control Valve Sizing
HAZOP, LOPA, PHA, & Risk Analysis
Day to Day
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as the lead process engineer and/or senior technical advisor for multiple projects
Create process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Oversee and participate in the preparation of engineering reports, engineering drawings and specifications for complex oil & gas projects such as PFD's, P&ID's, process simulations, datasheets, and engineering calculations including hydraulics and equipment sizing
Maintain effective communication with project team members and with clients, vendors, and contractors
Participate in the preparation of proposals for engineering services
Perform feasibility/economic studies, conceptual designs, front-end design (FEL), optimization/de-bottle-necking studies
