Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.
We are currently seeking a full-time QA Engineer for our manufacturing facility located in Marion, Arkansas reporting directly to the Quality Manager. This position is responsible for supporting Hino Motors in achieving the required quality performance targets for internal and external parts supplied to our customer. QE will monitor and analyze Quality KPIs for customer and warranty and facilitate countermeasures for items which do not meet the KPI targets.
Key Responsibilities
Customer: (QPR & QIR) Facilitate, monitor, review, and confirm all countermeasure activities to ensure timely and effective responses, followed by monitoring implementation and validation to ensure no repeat issues. Champion meetings with PE, PD, & QE for Short Term Countermeasures and Long-Term Countermeasures and conduct regular countermeasure audits.
Warranty: (FQPRs) Facilitate, monitor, review, and confirm all countermeasure activities to insure a timely and effective response with emphasis on timing and no repeat issues. Champion meetings with PE, PD, & QE for Short Term CMs and Long-Term Countermeasures. Audit CMs
Hoshin Goals: Support customer countermeasure activities for quick response and no repeat issues.
Track Customer Complaints : Track and monitor customer complaints for closure
Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or industrial) plus two years experience preferred, or equivalent experience in the Quality Field within an automotive manufacturing environment.
Required Skills Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines/targets.
Ability to identify and effectively resolve problems, based on data collection and analysis, to determine root cause.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer applications/programs.
Working Knowledge of Statistical Analysis and Process Control.
Working Knowledge of Gauge usage
Working Knowledge of Quality Systems within a manufacturing environment.
Be able to lead team in teams in countermeasure activity.
