Job Description Job Description The Real Estate Analysts will provide financial analysis to support property financing, acquisition, marketing, and leasing. They will advise our senior teams based on economic conditions, market trends, and financial situations. The Real Estate Analysts will research market trends and statistics to forecast immediate futures within the industry and determine the best use of cash according to a company's goals. They also perform due diligence and underwriting on new acquisitions.
Real Estate Analyst Duties Include:
Analyze and evaluate development proformas and operating statements of properties being considered for development or investment to determine feasibility and valuation
Maintain a primary focus on multifamily, mixed use - development or stabilized assets
Assist in analysis of potential investments and preparation of detailed approval memos used to evaluate investment opportunities
Perform due diligence research for the purchase and sale of properties
Support program and contract management processes through the preparation and/or review of acquisition and program management documentation, briefings, white papers, reports, metrics.
Manage and oversee lender/bank reporting, audit and compliance process on quarterly, annual or as needed basis
Assist in writing investment memoranda or prospectus packages
Assist in analysis of potential investments and preparation of detailed approval memos used to evaluate investment opportunities
Work closely with other Investment team members, and external parties
Assist in preparation of quarterly investor updates/reporting
Perform market competitive analysis of metrics on existing competition
Develop and analyze existing investment models with the ability to create new models
Ability to travel occasionally
Real Estate Analyst Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, real estate or finance preferred Prior experience with business case development.
One to three years of commercial real estate experience required. Multifamily experience is a requirement
Candidate should be familiar with navigating and creating complex financial models for underwriting commercial real estate properties
Must understand financial and accounting concepts and be able to apply concepts to financial models • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a timely and thorough manner
Requires advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Argus
Familiarity with real estate finance as well as basic real estate operations, leasing and development concepts
Is a critical thinker and problem solver.
Strong time management and critical thinking skills.
Experience with spreadsheets.
Demonstrated negotiation and attention to detail.
