Overview of Opportunity
Two Six Technologies is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying capabilities for our customers. Additionally, you will have the responsibility of productizing Proof-of-Concepts that are handed off by a team of reverse engineers.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
Serve as the primary capability developer on a small, highly motivated team
Apply knowledge of Linux/Unix based systems to help solve complex mission challenges
Maturing proof-of-concept R&D technology to operational fieldable solutions
Assist with reverse engineering and debugging of relevant linux applications
Provide mentoring to more junior developers on capability development strategies, methodologies, and implementation
Act as the team lead in implementing an Agile framework, Lean-Agile development, and applying Lean-Agile in leadership
Engaging in technical exchanges with transition partners and key stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI and polygraph clearance
Minimum of 10 years of Unix kernel experience internals including mandatory/discretionary access controls, runtime linker/loader, object file formats, file systems, and process/thread APIs & data structures.
At least 8 years of experience with network sockets programming and expert packet-level understanding of IP, TCP, and other application level protocols.
Demonstrated experience in developing applications in C/C++, and Python
Experience as a developer on an Agile development/Scrum-style team.
Experience with at least one modern automation framework (preferably Ansible)
Knowledge of memory protection modules (ASLR/DEP, etc.)
Experience tracing code execution in a debugger (WinDbg/gdb/IDAPro)
Ability to work at Two Six headquarters in Arlington and McLean, Virginia. Flexible work schedule during the week.
Nice to haves:
Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Experience with testing, CI/CD pipelines, and virtual machine test ranges
Experience with hosted version controls (Git or Gitlab)
Experience with firmware/driver development across Linux, Windows, or embedded systems
Experience with identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities in complex applications
Ability to rapidly find bearings in unfamiliar code bases
Experience leading a team of junior/mid-level developers
Clearance Requirements:
