Job Description

The Program Manager is responsible for building and managing open enrollment programs across 3 campuses. The programs must effectively meet the needs of short-term career training seekers, credential seekers, displaced workers, incumbent workers, professional licensure recertification courses, and professional development opportunities through effective preparation of needs assessments, program research, program development, program management and program analysis. Program Managers are responsible for supervision of both full-time faculty (FTE) and a large pool of adjunct instructors.

Responsibilities will include frequent contact inside and outside of the organization to ensure program development and success. Program Manager will be responsible for hiring knowledge instructors, coordinating service delivery, promoting programs, and technical advising of programs. Program Manager will be responsible for managing grants, monitoring LMI, coordinating resources, and supervising a large pool of instructors. Program Manager must ensure quality controls of all programs assigned. Work is performed with considerable independence within a broad scope of strategic mission and goals

Classified: Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range for this position is $61,000.00-$68,000.00. Salary will commensurate with education and experience. The position is classified staff and as such is eligible for the benefits package offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia for state agencies. Superb leadership and communication skills is required.

Candidates should have experience working with private industry and be very knowledgeable about the regional business and industry landscape and local economic development.

Working knowledge of professional development programs in a higher education setting preferred. Must contribute to the mission of Laurel Ridge Workforce being the local, reliable, and trusted partner for quality and relevant workforce training programs that meet the needs of employers and individuals in our community.
