AWS Supply Chain (ASC) is building a cloud-based application that helps customers mitigate business risks and lower costs with unified data and ML-powered insights. ASC provides customers with a rich web interface that they use to manage their supply chain. ASC Supply Planning is building a module which helps customers automatically replenish inventory short-term, and plan their stock long-term.

The ASC Supply Planning team is responsible for building this set of features for our customers. We are looking for a Front-End Engineer who will focus on building new features for customers to effectively perform supply planning. Key job responsibilities

· Develop and maintain key features of our systems and services, especially our front-end and backend-for-frontend

· Work with team members on design approaches, and prototyping new UX and technology

· Work on product improvements, with focus on customer experience and usability

· Dive deep into complex technical and UX problems

· Raise the bar for operational excellence and development practices

A day in the life

In a typical day you will be developing new features and improvements for the Supply Planning UX within AWS Supply Chain. You will coordinate with product owners, designers, other engineers, and other stakeholders to satisfy customer needs in an easy-to-use fashion. You spend time refining and implementing the quality and usability requirements to make sure the UI is reliable and robust. You will make targeted improvements for operational excellence and ease of maintenance.

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps)

AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps) provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services. The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), our End User Computing (including Amazon Workspaces, AppStream, etc.), Marketing Tech (Amazon Pinpoint), and Autonomous Checkout and Biometric Identity Services (Just Walk Out, Amazon One) for retail, sports, travel, and other verticals.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of agile software development methodology experience

Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
